Antonio was born in a small town in Mexico named Sahuayo that is famous for their artisan crafts and regional cuisine. He moved to the United States at a young age and grew up in the Bay Area. Antonio earned a doctorate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from UC Berkeley in 2023 under Wenjun Zhang and completed his postdoctoral work at Stanford University as a Stanford Science Fellow under Chaitan Khosla.
